Last Thursday, Utterly Engaged threw an awesome Hoedown birthday bash to celebrate their FIRST birthday. Featuring a bbq challenge, caricatures, makeup/hair artists, and even a bluegrass band, this was definitely an event not to be missed. (And it gave me an excuse to buy cute new boots, too!) Tucked away in the Outdoor Education Center of Irvine Regional Park, it was the perfect place to forget about the hustle & bustle of daily life. With signs leading the way down a dirt road, it only took a few minutes for the stress of city living to be washed away, if only for a few magical hours...
From the chocolate-hazelnut-nutella cake to the vanilla-drizzled chex mix, you can see why the dessert station was one of my favorite places to visit throughout the night.
As the sun set over the hills, the fairy lights came on and the fire pit burned even brighter. So cozy and picturesque.
